Most helpful customer reviews 36 of 36 people found this review helpful. Surprisingly little HD camcorder by AJ My new Sony HD Handycam CX160. The more I use it, the more I love it. It is very convenient for use with a perfect size for my palm-sized, and placed the Zoom and Record buttons on the camera and easily on the touch screen. The touch screen is very good. I would recommend using a scratch protection, it is easier to clean because it is susceptible to fingerprints. The touch interface is very intuitive (you can not go wrong with the interface with Sony), and only takes a few minutes getting used to. I immediately began to shoot out of the box. Come to the most important - the picture. The image quality of the video is absolutely breathtaking. Even in low light (indoor), the picture quality is very good when shooting in FX mode. I generally prefer the FX mode (60i), which is really the best way to second place in terms of clarity of the picture, but gives that extra recording time with negligible deterioration of the image compared with PS (60p @ 28Mbps) PS mode is the closest thing to a professional camera than a camera under $ 500 can get. With an internal memory of 16 GB can record 90 minutes of HD video mode FX. I have a class of 10 Transcend 16 GB for just under $ 30 for a total of 3 hours of video at once, which IMHO is a pretty good video. The battery (NP-FV50 Series V) that comes with it has a backup of just over 2 hours with a mixture of recording and playing time. I am very happy these days though. To back up got me to buy a 70 FV NP replacement (Vivitar Brand), but has not worked well and I would get an error message after about 4 minutes. I returned to buy another Sony NP FV 50th I would be buying another Sony NP FP 50 battery only recommend if you ever need a backup power (not orignial Sony NP FP 70) The sound quality is pretty good too. Approximately 3 hours of footage so far, though I have not really noticed the sound recordings in too much detail, I can say that the sound is just perfect. We have picture and sound quality of all the videos we shot had with him. The small (only about 5-7 inches) is attached to the USB camera. I think this feature is pretty cool because you do not have to remember to carry the USB cable as such (of course the extension cord definitely helps), and it's kind in the camera strap, hidden, lest you be seen and not lead to a work disabled during recording.
