Customer feedback more useful 80 of 83 people found this review helpful. DSC-T500 is the camera I was expecting! By Michael J. Foley saw it coming. Technology has advanced so rapidly that only expects what has been difficult. I bought this camera right away and I am very happy with it. I do not know where to start. This is both an excellent camera with 10.1 MP unique position, providing enough detail to 19 by 13 "prints. To my experienced eyes, the images are in an excellent word. It is also a small video camera 720P HD stereo sound! Not as good as a single high definition camera, but with the ease of flicking a switch on the movie mode, and the size of the camera is nothing short of amazing. I easily take two pictures and video clips in Windows Movie Maker and edited between the two and burned a DVD with excellent results. Certainly not required, but if you have a flat screen with an HDMI input, this camera really shines all settings (except for power, image and switch between movies and telecommunications) are made by touching icons on the screen is fairly easy and apparently struggling to master. Great care has been taken so that the camera feature is easy to use. This is my first camera with a touchscreen and it is great! One of the nicest features of the camera is to be able to take pictures while recording video. While editing, it's nice to be able to add a picture before or after video clips. Especially when you go through it. You need a little 'time on how to keep the camera. At least with me, I kept getting fingers in front of goal. The left hand must hold the camera down. The camera is both light and heavy enough that it feels good in your hands. My camera did not come with a Memory Stick. I ordered a 16 GB card for a little over a hundred dollars and according to the manual 4001 10MP images or an amazing 3 hours and 17 minutes of video in 720p keeping Fine Mode Video clips are limited to 10 minutes each, and this may apply to some but is more than enough for me. I also ordered 2 extra batteries since the video especially seems to eat on the power. No case included so you'll need it if you're interested. Cables are included except the HDMI cable. The camera comes with a camera stand that you connect the cables and then to your PC / TV / receiver. See photos and video clips on the camera itself is a joy. There are too many bells and whistles that the camera offers to list. See the information on this site. I must say that the images in the camera confused me and I found that a panel at the front of the camera slides, and the camera is turned on. I have always Canon Powershot digital ELP in the past owned and enjoyed it, but this new Sony is a kind masterpiece. If I have problems with this unit, I'll update this review. If you have questions, I will gladly try to answer them. UPDATE 17/10/08 I ordered two off brand batteries commanded genius accessories that are on the Amazon site, and install them on a screen saying something like battery compatible to be used. Then they will return. I ordered the genuine Sony batteries, which I really had from the beginning. The camera is simply better when I use it. UPDATE 2 22/10/08 I had the Sony battery, charge it and installed it and it works perfectly. It was therefore out of the battery brand that was the problem. With two batteries, should, if you're planning a lot of video will take for one day's recording in order. I want to take a series of videos and photos to Las Vegas in mid-November I could just have a Sony battery in case I went for a walk today and took some video and photos, came home and load into Windows Movie Maker and came up with a successful video that I burned to disc, and assisted at.
