I loved the convenience of the disk when it replaced an older unit, I had that small tape cartridges used. But the prices of HD-compatible devices, more than I am willing to pay was for a camcorder, so did the units that are only used memory sticks. I have Sony DSC-TX1 digital camera and was blown away by its visual quality, and it took even 720p movies, the incredible clarity, who was my 1 year old JVC camcorder. It was when I realized I needed to lose JVC. Almost all the films I make my son is now 6 years old, so the better the quality of the happier I would be. Other artifacts with a low definition JVC, ugly ugly ugly was just panning, and while he had a great response in low light, image quality was not exactly what I wanted to see how well everything to do with my TV camera and I was originally going get the 100 version, because it was so incredibly cheap for a camcorder to 1080, but poor low light ability put me off, since most of what I record at my house. And the very low numbers of optical zoom also worried me. Amazon left handed just put under the first listing of the product, or a new version, when I saw the 110 and the price was right. I did some digging on the site of Sony, a bit confusing that the 100 slightly cheaper 16 GB built it, but had no greater effect, but if I rest of the specifications seen in comparison, I thought it was a long drive well to test with. My local brick and mortar do not have in stock, so I ordered from Amazon and got Saturday delivery early Saturday, all the time and try to load it I left all settings default settings with the following exceptions to the setting of quality. It was easy to find, and the touchscreen on this device makes it very easy to use. As with my sony camera, a monitor "user" also where you can lock in the six most frequently used functions to avoid having to surf the submenu. I love this feature, as it did touch my camera so simple and fast. So I did four movies trial, all the same thing (my 6 year old to play with a huge Geotrax), all four options for 1080p resolution. The camera is smaller than I expected, very light and fits comfortably in your hand. The only real buttons to do with the normal operation of the zoom and start / stop recording, which is placed well in spite of the modest size of the device. If you want to take a snapshot, so you can make during recording, the button above right behind the catch, making it easy to use good, no problems. As I said, the menu on the touch screen much, so to change the settings that he was a piece of cake. It started with a high of 24 Mbps, then the next (think it was 17Mbps), then the "default" one that begins, 9 Mbps, then the lowest. When I was done I took the card (access to enjoyable, fast at the bottom with a stable door hinge). He came into my MacBook Pro is very good, and started playing. I have a 13 "MacBook Pro, aluminum monocoque, which gave me four months ago. So new Core 2 Duo, NVIDIA 9400 ... And I could not play the highest or second highest films of the highest quality. .. What was it I was going to be great in my Windows 7 Media Center. The third and fourth files are played, but from the laptop screen is not 1080, do not look so good. So I went and pulled a card from the laptop, put it in my Dell Zino turns my nice 46 "Samsung HDTV, and played them all something I had not realized is that when creating the files they created in their own BluRay playback format, folder structure and everything. So it should make it easy for people who want to burn Blu-ray. Anyway, the media center, I was playing.
