By torn501s Bought this Sony HDR-CX160 Handycam which also came with the Ultimate Bundle sold through Beach Camera. The camera is great but had problems with Beach Camera on getting the right items in the Ultimate Bundle. The description of the Ultimate Bundle indicates it comes with Deluxe Filter Kit. The filters didn't come with the camera. After a few e-mails to Beach Camera, I was told by a sales manager that the filters don't come with the Ultimate Bundle. After a couple more e-mails I did receive an e-mail from the sales manager who said that he had to talk with the Sony Rep (??????????) and he would send out the filters. I'm still waiting for them to arrive. Now I've noticed that the back-up battery is not a Sony battery. After charging the battery it would only run for about 2 minutes then a message would appear on the screen that says "not compatible with this device." Over all the camera is good its just that someone isn't watching what is going into the packing box at Beach Camera and they don't know what they've got in their ads. The user menu is all too user-friendly. Bright sunlight was impossible at any setting as far as the LCD screen readings went. You'll have to guess and point for shooting the material you hope to get. For us, we shot inside, outside, night and day to 'TEST' the CX160. Hands-down kudos to Sony for the best possible image stabilization I have ever seen. Even while walking on a agressive basis, the picture stayed as though I were on liquid wheels. Wonderful stabilization. Video is HD at 60 but it is missing he 60/24p factor so you'll get a vivid picture but it comes out way too soft for it to look Blu-Ray or 1080. Had more of a 720 look and effect and it just didn't warrant a $550 price tag for lower-end HD quality. If they'll sell this someday for $450 or less, then it would be a fair buy. VASQUEZ Gread HD Camera, I do professional Video recording, i have two professional Hd cameras, and use this one for an extra angle, the quality of video is all the times same than the other for what I paid over 2000 dollars, I had a little problem importing to imovie, but after touch all the setings I got it.
