Svancara I am a photographer, anchor the goal is to moments in my life, and to gather around me. I hate to use flash when I want the pictures / video capture the exact way that it originally was. For most occasions, I use a Canon 20D with Canon 50mm 1.8 prime lens. This setup allows me to "moments" to capture in low light without flash. But it is now, I found it completely unrealistic to carry around a DSLR with me at any time, for various reasons, I would be able to record video as well. I did not have to carry around a separate device to record video as well. So was the next logical step for a point and shoot camera, operated in low light situations, the recording quality video look like as well. In no particular order I am over all P & S camera I have reviewed in class was comparable requirements: 1) be easy pocket 2) high performance in low light without flash 3) high quality video recording 4) have a reasonable zoom pictures and video P300 - Nikon, this camera is very pocket friendly small = less than the third on the list, equipped with an f/1.8 lens that is fast and has a good zoom@4.2 X, video resolution, 1080p at 30 fps, CMOS sensor. This camera takes pictures in very good light, the lens and CMOS sensor for great help with this. In addition, the P300 more macro images of other cameras and a larger angle. However, the video choppy / skips in time. The P300 had 3 / 4 min scale S95 - Canon This camera is still a pocket, however, is the second smallest of the list. The goal is af/2.0, zoom@3.8 8X video, resolution 720, the sensor is CCD (CMOS is better), however, the CCD sensor in the S95 is almost double that of two CMOS cameras and the S95 has a higher processor digital output of all cameras when considering the general photography and low light photography with the S95 has the best pictures from 4 cameras. However, the video is of poor quality and is easy to see when they compare. Video mode also lets not get it. This camera also scored 4.3. LX5 - This Panasonic camera is the smallest of pockets for all cameras listed in point would not be able to fit the camera in your pocket. The goal is af/2.0, zoom@3.8X, video resolution, 720, CCD sensor is CMOS (is better), but the CCD sensor in the LX5 is the largest of the four sensor cameras. Of all the cameras when considering the general photography and low light, the LX5 falls slightly below the S95, however, the LX5 is the upper chamber for macro shots of the 4 cameras. The video also good LX5 720p is still higher than the S95 and P300 also in contrast to the S95, the LX5 can zoom during video. The only drawback to this device it was bigger. Again I mark the camera 3 / 4 WX5 - This Sony camera is the smallest of the four is 40% smaller than the barrel. The lens is af/2.4, @ 5x zoom, video-res, 1080p, however, CMOS sensor, the CCD sensor is smaller than LX5 and S95. The sensors or lenses are not the only thing to consider, the processor and its software are also very important. This is where this camera really shines. In the light of education and low LX5 S95 and win, but not by a large margin. Video WX5 is only second to the LX5, from shooting LX5 better overall, and less bright images. I achieved this camera with a 4 / 4 To best summarize, shooting in low light = 1) S95 2) LX5 3) WX5 4) general photography P300 = 1) S95 2) LX5 3) WX5 4) size of P300 (minimum) = 1) WX5 2) S95 3) P300 4) Best Video LX5 = 1) LX5 2) WX5 3) S95 4) Most P300 zoom = 1) WX5 2) P300 3) LX5/S95 S95, which is the life for me it was not possible to to zoom during video and much lower hem and LX5, what life for me was too big size, if you can get past
